The SCC Choir Leader’s Role

The SCC Choir Team is talented and dynamic and currently features musicians and teachers who have trained with us to become SCC Choir Leaders, Musicians and Music Teachers to deliver the SCC Choir experience to their own community. Along with the support of the SCC team, the role of the Choir Leader is to inspire and lead as well as teach and perform.

Based in your own community you will be representing the SCC Choir brand. We are offering self-employment with a guaranteed minimum income along with a working schedule that allows you the flexibility to maintain other work and personal commitments alongside it.

SCC Choir Leaders typically have a background and formal training in music, performance and/or education.  Sight-reading skills are useful and a music degree or diploma is preferred but not essential.

Each Leader is highly competent at piano and vocals and able to combine these two instruments to deliver SCC Choir resources and the SCC Choir teaching formula to each choir. All musical and teaching resources are developed by SCC’s creative team and all music and performance licences are confirmed before delivery.  

Individuals should be personable and charismatic with excellent and confident leadership skills and have the ability to work effectively in a team.

It is essential that a new leader has a car and full GB driving licence and ideally a PA system and portable piano or keyboard.
